Adventure on the Death Road: From La Paz to the Jungle

At 7:30 a.m., we’ll pick you up from your hotel in downtown La Paz and take you comfortably by vehicle to the Summit, the starting point of this incredible adventure.

From the Summit, the highest point of the route, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views, including the snow-capped Huayna Potosí. Here, your bike descent begins along a paved road for about half an hour, reaching the first checkpoint.

The journey continues through the striking landscapes of the Andes until we reach the town of Unduavi, where the climate changes and the scenery transforms, revealing the lush tropical jungle.

After a quick refreshment break, the adventure intensifies on dirt roads. In San Juan, we’ll pass under two stunning waterfalls cascading directly over the road. The trail twists and turns as we venture deeper into the jungle, tackling the most challenging part of the route while enjoying every thrilling moment for approximately four hours.

As we near the end, the air becomes warmer, and we reach the second checkpoint, managed by the local community. Finally, the ride concludes in the village of Yolosa, where you’ll feel the temperature shift. From there, we’ll transport you to Coroico, where a welcoming hotel awaits. Relax with a hot shower, unwind by the pool, and savor a buffet lunch while taking in the vibrant green of the Bolivian jungle.

After this well-deserved rest, we’ll return by road to La Paz, completing an unforgettable experience that will stay with you forever.

Time Required: Start in La Paz at 7:30 am, drive to la Cumbre 1 hour, riding time 4 hours, hotel 1 hour 30 minutes, then 3 -3 and a half hours drive back to La Paz, a return time is around between 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
